Raindrops
I stop and look around, but I see nothing
Emptiness in all that I gaze upon
And in what gazes back upon me
Dull, rounded, softened, and washed out
Crouching, praying, begging, dragging ourselves around
There is unseen fear
With eyes closed you can feel it
The illusion breaks away like dust at the end of a sand storm
It’s been underlying the truth since i can remember
No one wants to look
Faces of people, people like anyone else you’ve ever met
Slight variations, contoured with everything thing they have ever felt
Restrictions so tightly, and precisely placed, freedom is rarely questioned
We hide in fear
Their faces smile, but inside their eyes is another story
One you will only be able to guess
For it is just a flash of a moment and it’s gone,
there is nothing.
All eyes, dull, filled with incurable desire, quickly shift down
I hear their teardrops, like rain on the metallic ground that carries our feet
as it mocks our very existence.
There is no hope here, and there never has been.
We all have died a long time ago, by someone else’s voice
my stupid poem :P
